Improving long-term management of osteoarthritis:
Strategies for primary care physicians

Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of arthritis, especially in older individuals. Current treatment options for OA include lifestyle modifications—diet and exercise.

However, all patients with OA will eventually need pharmacologic treatment. This supplement will help primary care physicians diagnosis OA in their patients and initiate a treatment plan that includes lifestyle modifications and pharmacologic agents.
